Many habits don't start as problems.

They begin as coping strategies — a way to manage stress, soothe difficult emotions, or simply fill a moment of boredom or discomfort. Over time, what once felt like relief can become automatic, difficult to control, and hard to stop even when you want to.

This is not a sign of weakness or lack of willpower. It's a sign that the pattern has become deeply learned — and that a different kind of support may be needed.

The good news is that learned patterns can be changed.

A Structured, Time-Limited Approach

Using Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), clinical hypnosis and mindfulness, we work together to:

✔ Understand what drives the habit — the triggers, emotions and situations behind it

✔ Develop greater self-awareness and self-regulation

✔ Build healthier, more sustainable responses

✔ Strengthen your confidence in your ability to change

Rather than defining you by your habit, the aim is to support you towards a healthier, more empowered relationship with yourself and your choices.

This approach is time-limited — typically 4–8 sessions — though the number of sessions needed will always depend on the nature and severity of the pattern. I cannot guarantee specific outcomes, but I can offer structured, evidence-based support that gives change its best chance.

This approach can help with:

  • Nail-biting and skin-picking

  • Compulsive or emotional eating

  • Drinking more than you'd like

  • Vaping

  • Excessive social media use

  • Other repetitive behavioural patterns

How We Work Together

1. Initial assessment and goal setting We begin with a detailed conversation to explore your current situation, goals, and any relevant background. This allows me to understand the habit — what triggers it, what role it plays, and what change would look like for you. It also allows me to assess whether this approach is the right fit for your needs.

2. Understanding the habit loop Together we explore the pattern beneath the behaviour — the thoughts, emotions and situations that keep it in place. This understanding is the foundation for everything that follows.

3. Practical tools for change From early sessions, CBT-informed strategies help you:

✔ Recognise triggers before they lead to the behaviour

✔ Interrupt automatic responses

✔ Develop healthier alternatives that actually work in real life

Clinical hypnosis may be introduced to support deeper change — working at a level where habits are often most strongly held. Hypnosis is always optional.

4. Relapse prevention and ongoing support As we progress, we build practical strategies to help you maintain change — including how to respond if challenges arise. The goal is not perfection but resilience: the ability to notice, course-correct and keep moving forward.

A Note on Severe Addictions

For habits that have become severe or complex addictions — including alcohol dependency, gambling or pornography — hypnotherapy alone is not a sufficient treatment. In these cases, specialist addiction support is needed.

I work in collaboration with two specialist clinics to give you the best support available in Mallorca.

Building Lasting Change

Most clients notice meaningful shifts within the first few sessions — greater awareness, reduced urges, a growing sense of control. For lasting change, consistency matters: the work we do together needs time to become familiar and automatic.

Clients often report:

✔ Reduced urges and cravings

✔ Greater emotional self-regulation

✔ A healthier relationship with themselves and their choices

✔ Increased confidence in their ability to change

Frequently Asked Questions

How many sessions will I need? Most clients work through habit change in 4–6 sessions. The exact number depends on the nature and complexity of the habit. Some patterns shift more quickly, others need more time. We assess this together as we go.

Can you guarantee I'll stop the habit? I can't — and I'd be cautious of anyone who does. What I can offer is a structured, evidence-based approach that gives change its best chance. Motivation, consistency and honesty — on both sides — are what make the difference.

Is this suitable for serious addictions? For severe or complex addictions, specialist treatment is needed. I work in collaboration with two specialist clinics and can help connect you with appropriate support if this applies to you.

Do I have to be hypnotised? No — hypnosis is never an obligation. Many clients benefit from CBT and mindfulness alone. Hypnotherapy is introduced only if and when it feels right for you.

Do you offer online sessions? Yes — I work with clients worldwide online, as well as in person in Mallorca. Sessions are available in English, Spanish and German.

How do I get started? The first step is a free 15-minute discovery call — no commitment, just a conversation to see if working together feels right.
